I DO NOT like the idea of a dentist office... Really. It's been over 10 years. So that said, I'll say this: I wish I would have went to them years ago! This place is super clean, and the staff really care! No judgement, just nice and helpful. The dentist didn't act like he was in a hurry to move to the next person either. I will not go anywhere else! They need 10 Stars!!!! There isn't enough room to type all the positive things about this place!

My husband and I along with our two boys (currently 6 & 3) go to Topping Dental in Elkhart and we are so thankful for everyone there! The front desk ladies are so kind and welcoming, the office is clean and has a room for the kids to play while waiting for their appointments. Special shoutout to our hygienist Ashley! She has paw patrol on for both my boys while they get their teeth cleaned and it makes them so happy! Highly recommend Dr Swihart and Ashley!

My family and I have been going to Topping Dental for almost 2 years now and our experience has been fantastic for both my wife and I and our 4 year old daughter. I absolutely love Topping Dental in Elkhart . All staff members starting from front desk all the way to the back are all great at what they do. My family and I always feel welcome in the office. Dr. Swihart is super amazing! Today my 3 year old and my 6 year old had their first cleaning appointment in the office . They didn’t cry or complain about anything .

How often should I have a schedule dental cleaning?

If you spot a cavity, can I have it taken care of during my dental cleaning visit?

Do you take x-rays?
Yes, we take x-rays of your mouth as needed to make sure that there are no issues happening below the surface of your teeth.
How long do dental cleaning appointments last?
We pride ourselves on having an efficient, yet quick appointment. Most appointments can be finished in 30 minutes, but we recommend that you plan for 60 minutes in case we find any problems that need to be addressed.
Is it safe to have a dental cleaning appointment if I’m pregnant?
Absolutely! In fact, we recommend that you have a dentist appointment while pregnant and soon after giving birth. The mouth tells us a lot about your overall health and is the first step in having a healthy lifestyle.
How long do I have to wait to eat or drink after receiving fluoride treatment?
Do not eat or drink for 30 minutes after your appointment, and avoid coffee, tea, and dark liquids for 6 hours. The longer you can go without eating or drinking, the better your fluoride treatment will work on your teeth. After 6 hours, you don’t need to avoid any food or drinks.
