I DO NOT like the idea of a dentist office... Really. It's been over 10 years. So that said, I'll say this: I wish I would have went to them years ago! This place is super clean, and the staff really care! No judgement, just nice and helpful. The dentist didn't act like he was in a hurry to move to the next person either. I will not go anywhere else! They need 10 Stars!!!! There isn't enough room to type all the positive things about this place!

My husband and I along with our two boys (currently 6 & 3) go to Topping Dental in Elkhart and we are so thankful for everyone there! The front desk ladies are so kind and welcoming, the office is clean and has a room for the kids to play while waiting for their appointments. Special shoutout to our hygienist Ashley! She has paw patrol on for both my boys while they get their teeth cleaned and it makes them so happy! Highly recommend Dr Swihart and Ashley!

Dr. Swihart and his staff provide a very welcoming environment for their patients. They are professional, patient, and personable. Even when I had to bring my

I absolutely love Topping Dental in Elkhart . All staff members starting from front desk all the way to the back are all great at what they do. My family and I always feel welcome in the office. Dr. Swihart is super amazing! Today my 3 year old and my 6 year old had their first cleaning appointment in the office . They didn’t cry or complain about anything .

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes, we accept new dental patients. Whether it is an appointment for just you or your entire family, we are happy to serve you. Please call the office to set up your appointment.

Do you accept all insurance plans?

As a courtesy we can file claims with most insurances, but we are ONLY in network with ONE insurance company, which is DELTA DENTAL (PREMIER PLAN). If you do not have Delta Dental Premier Plan, you will need to make sure your insurance carrier will pay an “Out of Network” dentist. Many plans do pay out of network but some plans do not. It is the patient’s responsibility to check with their insurance to verify.

Our only location that is in the DELTA Network is our Elkhart office, not Nappanee or Middlebury.

Can I change from a different Topping Dental location to the Elkhart location?

Yes, you can change your primary dental office from one of our Topping Dental Group locations to another. However, you are not able to flip between offices. If you need to have an emergency procedure done and your primary Topping Dental location doesn’t have available seats, we are able to coordinate with the other locations in order to take care of your emergency.

What type of orthodontic work do you offer?

We offer the more traditional metal braces, ceramic “tooth-colored” braces, as well as clear plastic braces for youth and adults. We also offer spacers for younger children to prepare for braces.

Do you accept emergency appointments?

Yes, for our current patients. Sometimes, we can find you a quicker appointment at our Nappanee or Middlebury locations if our Elkhart location has no more available emergency appointments.

Are you a kid friendly dentist office?

We pride ourselves on providing an enjoyable teeth cleaning experience for your whole family. During your appointment, our hygienist and dentists will talk to your child in such a way where they feel less nervous about the experience.
